A Medicine Wheel is a physical manifestation of our Spiritual energy.
The Medicine Wheel has been used by generations of various Native American tribes for health and healing. It embodies the Four Directions, as well as Father Sky, Mother Earth, and Spirit —all of which symbolize dimensions of health and the cycles of life.
The individual or community can see what is going on within by examining what has manifested outwardly in the mirror like situation the Medicine Wheel shows us.
It is also a wheel of protection and it enables us, and allows us to gather surrounding energies into a focal point and to commune with Spirit, Self and Nature. Thus, it is a model to be used to view self, society, or anything that one could ever think of looking into.
Medicine Wheel teachings are vast and limitless and form the basis of most First Nations beliefs – The great circle of Life.
The energy of Fall is found in the direction of the West.
The west is where we harvest our year. We acknowledge what we have accomplished during the year thus far and give gratitude and thanks for all that we’ve done and all that we have.
It is the direction of the sun setting, the beauty of each day. We ask for the ability to go deep within to do the healing necessary.
It is said that this direction holds the element of water.. our emotions.
The Autumn Equinox is for facing our shadows and moving our lives toward impeccability.
When we explore the medicine wheel we come back into the balance of our year. It reminds us of the cycle of energy we all go through. It shows us where we are spiritually.
This will be held on 40 acres of beautiful land at Logan Martin Lake. Once you register, you will be sent the directions.
We will start with a fire circle ceremony and then move into the teachings of fall season within the medicine wheel.
